Designed by GamFratesi, the Yuh floor lamp features adjustable glare-free light, a flexible mechanical system for easy movement, integrated LED technology, and a sleek design with a brushed brass stem and Italian marble base, available in black or white finishes.
The Yuh floor lamp, designed by Danish-Italian duo GamFratesi in 2017, is a flexible lighting piece focused on personal adaptability. The fixture provides primarily downward-directed glare-free light. The angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimise light distribution, while a narrow opening at the top of the shade provides soft ambient upward illumination.
A mechanical system offers a wide range of movement, allowing the light to be positioned as needed. Integrated LED technology delivers high-quality light with stepless dimming from 15 to 100%, operated by a discreet button located on the upper part of the stem. The lamp includes a timer function to automatically turn off the light after a set time, selectable between off, 4 hours, or 8 hours, and also allows users to set a fixed light level when the lamp is reconnected to power.
The shape of the shade is determined by its movement along the stem, transitioning from a circular base to a linear opening at the top. The lamp is available in black or white painted aluminium shades, with a brushed brass stem and a base in solid Italian marble—Nero Marquina for the black version and White Carrara for the white. The name “Yuh” reflects the personal nature of the design, based on the phonetic sound of “you”.
