The Village – Utopia, designed by  Elisa Ossino for Salvatori, is an exploration of geometric forms that delves into the essence of home. Born from the profound reflections prompted by the world-changing events of 2020, this initiative reimagines home as more than just a physical space; it becomes a sanctuary of emotional significance.

In response to this redefined concept of home, The Village project invited designers from across the globe to contribute their unique perspectives, resulting in an eclectic, archetypal village that embodies the unity and diversity of our shared human experience. Elisa Ossino’s contribution, aptly named Utopia, pays tribute to the architectural ideals of communal harmony and equality. Through a trio of geometric sculptures, Ossino interprets these concepts with a metaphysical approach, evoking the timeless charm of a Mediterranean village under the midday sun.

Each piece in the Utopia series is crafted from a unique marble, including Bianco Carrara, Grigio Versilia, and Palissandro Bluette. While each element can stand alone as a distinctive piece of art, they also offer delightful modularity, allowing for a myriad of interconnecting configurations. The diminutive, Escherian flights of stairs that link the pieces add an intriguing touch of playfulness to the architectural design.
