Description
The Globe Table Lamp, designed by Joe Colombo in 1964, combines geometric simplicity with practical lighting. A transparent blown-glass sphere houses a cylindrical metal reflector that directs light, while also diffusing a soft, ambient glow. The lamp is supported by a metal base and structure, both finished in satin nickel, providing stability and complementing the overall design. It accommodates a single E14 LED light source with a maximum output of 40W, offering a balance of focused and diffused illumination. As part of the Globe series, which includes suspension and wall lamp versions, it exemplifies Colombo’s approach to lighting as both functional and sculptural.
