Superloon: Floor Lamp Chrome

Description

The Superloon, designed by Jasper Morrison in 2015, is a floor lamp that offers direct, adjustable light through a minimal and thoughtfully engineered structure. Its circular head, reminiscent of the moon, is supported by a tripod-style base and can be rotated to direct light where needed.

The lamp’s body is made from painted or chrome-plated aluminium, with die-cast joints and an extruded stem that allow for smooth articulation. The light-emitting surface features a silk-screened PMMA diffuser, which works in tandem with Edge Lighting technology to produce a soft, uniform glow.

An optical sensor is positioned along the stem, allowing intuitive control of the lamp’s brightness and colour temperature through the integrated Warm Tone dimming function. The Superloon includes a 250 cm power cord and a plug-in power supply with interchangeable plugs.
