The Sawaru floor lamp, designed by Nendo in 2018, consists of two independent cylinders positioned perpendicularly: one serves as the light source and the other as the base. Its projection angle is adjustable in three stages — 25, 40, or 60 degrees — achieved by inserting the pin attached to the base. The design is stripped of excess elements, resulting in a minimalist form that allows for various lighting functions. The base and body are made from extruded aluminium with a black finish, while the diffuser is crafted from photo-etched injection-moulded polycarbonate. The reflector is constructed from painted die-cast aluminium, and the lamp features a dimmer function and channel mixing via a pedal switch on the cord. The power supply is corded with interchangeable plugs.
