The PH 3½-2½ Table Lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen in 1928, is part of his innovative three-shade system, which was developed to provide glare-free, evenly distributed lighting. The lamp features mouth-blown three-layer opal glass shades that are glossy on the outside and sandblasted on the underside to create a soft, diffused illumination. The reflective design directs most of the light downwards, ensuring a balanced and comfortable glow. Originally conceived as an alternative to low-hanging pendant lamps, it continues to embody Henningsen’s dedication to shaping light through precise calculations and careful material choices. The frame is bright chrome-plated, complementing the timeless aesthetic of the lamp. It includes a 2.5-metre black plastic cord with an integrated switch for ease of use.
