Description

At first glance, Mono: Vase Sabbia Scuro appears simple, but its quiet presence is defined by proportion, texture, and colour. With a clean, elongated silhouette, the vase becomes a refined canvas for Paola Paronetto’s distinctive material language.

Handcrafted in paper clay—a blend of traditional clay and paper pulp—it is finished in Sabbia Scuro, a deep, sand-toned hue that grounds the form and enhances its sculptural quality. The surface features Paronetto’s corteccia texture—delicate ridges inspired by tree bark that lend it a quietly organic character. Though solid, the piece carries an almost weightless quality, shaped by hand and marked by subtle irregularities that reflect the artist’s touch.

Part of the Mono collection—a diverse family of vases, uncomplicated and rich in poetry—Mono: Vase Sabbia Scuro celebrates the beauty of familiar forms, the ripples of texture, and the depth of colour. Whether displayed on its own or mixed freely with others from the collection, the vase invites a light, imaginative approach to arrangement. As with all of Paronetto’s work, no two are exactly alike—each one shaped by time, gesture, and intent.
