The Crystal Evo, designed by Massimo Castagna, is a suspended light defined by its carefully balanced form and refined material palette. At its centre, a light source enclosed in White Crystal stone is held within a slender frame of aluminium and brass, giving the piece a sense of lightness and precision. The translucent stone is etched with delicate arabesque textures that diffuse the light, creating a subtle glow that responds to its surroundings. On either side, natural cowhide leather strips introduce a tactile contrast, softening the linear silhouette and adding warmth to the composition.
The light is powered by an energy-efficient LED source (Energy Efficiency Index A) and operates on low voltage, supplied through the suspension cables. The transformer is discreetly housed within the ceiling rosette, maintaining a clean visual connection to the ceiling. The standard overall height is 180 cm, though this can be adjusted to suit the context. The piece is designed to function both as a single pendant and as part of a broader composition, with the interplay of translucency, texture, and structure offering quiet detail and subtle complexity.
