Named after the water lily, the Coppe Ninfea: Bowl Fragola draws on the gentle, flowing lines of aquatic blooms. This bowl curves softly outward, as if paused in a moment of quiet motion. Like much of Paola Paronetto’s work, it reflects a close relationship with nature, balancing delicacy and strength through sculptural form.
Handmade in paper clay—a blend of traditional ceramic clay and paper pulp—Coppe Ninfea: Bowl Fragola is shaped using her distinctive technique. This version features a Liscio finish, meaning “smooth” in Italian, which offers a refined, even texture that contrasts with the more tactile surfaces found in other finishes like Corteccia or Cartoccio. Though light in appearance, the bowl is sturdy and durable, with a form that invites both visual and tactile engagement.
The bowl appears to float above the surface, grounded yet subtly lifted, its gentle silhouette revealing a quiet elegance. Shown here in Fragola, a vibrant strawberry red, this is one of many carefully considered colours in the collection. As with all of Paronetto’s pieces, no two are exactly the same—each one carries slight variations in tone, texture, and shape, a reflection of its handmade nature.
This piece from the Coppe Ninfea collection embodies Paola Paronetto’s artistic approach—deeply rooted in craft, inspired by natural rhythm, and poised between art and design.
