Secto Design
Secto Design was born out of a collaboration between founder Tuula Jusélius and Finnish architect Seppo Koho in 1995. Initially focused on furniture made from innovative wood materials, the company pivoted to lighting after recognising a gap in the market for wooden lamps. This shift led to the creation of the iconic Secto 4200 pendant lamp, which remains the cornerstone of the brand’s collection today.
Crafted from PEFC-certified Finnish birch, each Secto Design lamp is handmade by skilled Finnish artisans, embodying the simplicity, warmth, and elegance of Scandinavian design. The minimalist yet impactful design of the lamps creates a play of light and shadows that adds a poetic touch to any space.
Secto Design’s commitment to sustainability and high-quality craftsmanship is central to its ethos. The company’s lamps are not only visually appealing but are also eco-friendly, making them suitable for both residential and public interiors around the world. Over 80% of Secto Design’s products are exported globally, reflecting their international appeal and timeless aesthetic.
Today, Secto Design is celebrated for its innovative use of wood and its dedication to responsible production, offering a range of pendant, table, floor, and wall lamps that blend traditional woodworking techniques with contemporary design.
