Baobab Collection Presents: The Art of Burning
To fully enjoy your candle and keep its aesthetic intact, there is a burning ritual to carry out. To guarantee optimal use, Baobab Collection recommends following the safety instructions and always keeping your candle under surveillance.

1. Light your candle
Light all candle wicks and stay close to it while burning.
2. During burning
Wait until the whole surface becomes liquid before putting out your candle. Never exceed one hour of burning once the whole surface is liquid.
3. Safety tip
Never burn the last 1cm (1/2 inch) of wax to avoid flames burning against the glass. A flame burning against the glass may cause the glass to break !
4. After burning
Before the wax becomes totally solid, reposition the wicks vertically to their initial place. Regularly clean the inside of the candle to avoid the appearance of soot.

WARNING
Before burning, Place the candle away from drafts and sunlight. Trim the wicks regularly. They must not exceed 0.6 cm (1/4 inch to avoid black smoke and the deposit of soot on the vessel’s edges. Keep the wax pool free of matches or other foreign matter. It may present a fire hazard and darken the wax. During burning, Wait for the entire surface to liquefy before putting out your candle to avoid tunnelling The first time will take longer than the following. NEVER allow the last centimetres of wax to burn, as the flames may come in contact with the glass and overheat the vessel. A flame that burns too close to glass can cause it to burst! NEVER let the candle burn for over an hour once the surface is completely liquid. A candle that overheats can ignite! After burning, Before the wax solidifies, reposition the wicks to prevent the flames from burning against the glass the next time you light it. Regularly clean the inside of the candle with a non-alcoholic product to avoid soot buildup. Large soot deposits on the edges of the vessel may cause excessive smoke.
